Ha ha, what could possibly go wrong...?
I believe I was #1 from when the rankings were introduced until 2010.
The unified women's rankings (that most people go by) currently have me at #2, right behind Sheila Gaff.
Hi Adam,
I can't help you personally with this one but I'll try and find someone who can. PM me your email address and I'll take it from there!

I'm not a huge fan of off-the-peg knee supports for minor ligament injuries.
I tend to use tape instead - http://rocktape.net is where I get most of mine from. They also have a handy series of...
Hi Shaun
It depends on exactly what's going on - I'd need to have a look at it myself to give specific advice. With some shoulder problems, a good sports massage can really help, for others not so...
There's a few things that could be causing the problem. Best to get it checked out by a qualified professional. Internet diagnosis is dubious at best!
If you're in Glasgow, I'm hearing good...
I suspect as a result of this, we'll start seeing a greater separation between amateur and pro. There'll probably be more amateur only events, and maybe some fighters won't be so quick to jump on the...
Nathan - valid point, but I think that would be a matter for the fighter to discuss with the promoter rather than an issue for SAFE MMA itself.
Something to bear in mind.
There's a lot of talk about MMA and regulation going round at the moment. I've been fielding a few media phone calls over the last few days, talking about safety issues...
I think that's a job for the governing body!
"Safe MMA has been recognised by the UKMMAF as the preferred choice for fighter safety in the UK, and the two independent bodies are working side by side to improve safety measures within the sport....
The really brilliant thing, though, is that they were asking for the fight to be rescheduled in 3 months time - knowing that there's no more money for drug testing.
What kind of a muppet do I...
Yep. Tests were done. Afaik, nothing came back positive. There was plenty of notice before the testing period started.
The idea with VADA isn't (mainly) to catch people - only an idiot would use...
Perhaps. It's also *consistent* with a number of other potential scenarios, including anabolic steroid withdrawal, or outright fabrication.
Given the uncertainty, it's interesting that (AFAIK)...
Have a look at the Q&A - http://www.76harleystreet.com/images/safemma/Safe-MMA_Agreement-Information_%2022-10-12.pdf and see if that helps with any of your questions.
As for we'll have a whole...
Chris - I haven't, personally, seen the medical forms. I'll raise the issue, along with your other questions.
There's a pack sent out to the GP by SAFE MMA; on the medical form it would be straightforward to get confirmation to say that photo ID has been provided (much the same as happens for anti-doping...
Fair point. It would be easy enough to close that loophole with the SAFE MMA system in place though.
Out of interest, do they ask for ID when they do the blood test?
Well, it wouldn't be the first time.
But my point still stands that for what SAFE MMA is offering (not *just* the blood tests), it represents very good value for money. I believe it's a better...
Officially, she had a cold / tonsillitis / flu several weeks ago, and now has no energy and "collapsed" several times in sparring. Her doctor ran a bunch of tests, but so far has no medical...

Has anyone notified the CDC? :-o
Chicken flu?
Is that a random pop quiz?
Or were you thinking they should be warned about Sheila's mysterious and virulent viral infection, and possibly quarantined for public safety?
