Can't vouch for any others (Im sure they're all good!) but the facility, people and training at kapap sheffield is excellent.
I can be very certain that some one with an 'iffy back' is highly unlikley to benefit from romaninan deadlifts and is very probably going to make things worse.
Glad you've decided against it - good choice.
When I said get a pro to look at it Im mean a good sports physio / ostepath.
A lifting coach no matter how exeperienced will not help you with your...
I dont think deadlifts are bad for healthy backs at all - I think they're fantastic, I hate them like I hate sprouts - which further supports their efficacy :D - My only reason for posting...
This type of deadlift will in no way help your back!
My first question: Does the rowing machine not bother your knee - I know it's non-weightbearing but it's not usually a pleasant movement for people with bad/injured knees?
Thanks for the reply - really helpful once I convince some people this is in their best sprinting interest I'll be looking to get some from you, thanks again.
Hi - although the first reply was good advice, please don't decide to self-treat and strengthen your cuffs yourself. Whilst there's a very good chance the other post in this thread is correct -...
Very true! Just applying resistance to sprint starts mainly - thanks for your help - do you stock harness's? (and if so how much are they please)?
Thats great cheers - just for basic sprints but these are pretty hefty fellas 22/23 stone is average
Cheers, I thought the #4 added 100kg of force at the top of the lift - what does the #5 add then at the same point?
Whats roughly the resistance in Kg of band #5 please?
Fantastic in the truest sense of the word - well done Rosi!!
Just want to pay my sincere condolences to the family of an obviously brave young man and to all those who endure the worry and grief that having a hero in the family sometimes brings.
Glad Im not the only one stuck on that flippin advert :D
Redminds me of Anchorman for sure - 'Milk was a bad choice...'
There's lots of research being on these things at the moment - mainy short-term power stuff - and the jurys still out on all the training stuff so no solid programs have been developed. The burning...
This whole thread is worthy of tv - funniest thing Ive read in a long time :D
- even funnier than reading the kid backpedal like crazy on the 'riot' thread
So quality of sessions aside - could you guys join in and hold your own in an elite fighters session?
I agree from what I've seen of Franklins training its stuck in the late 70's - Franklin was a champion despite his training in my opinion.
True maybe cycling wasn't a great example -- but how about boxing? A good local boxer couldn't share a training session with Ricky Hatton and hope to keep up - Or a local rugby team join in with...
Right - I've been having a delayed discussion over email with some old colleagues/pals regarding MMA and how its elite compare with elite athletes in general.
This discussion started mainly due to...
Good post - Brilliant documentery and a truly humble man, with sadly a totally crazy girlfriend. I know he's a brave and at one time unstopable - but to let the cameras in on his addiction to...
I remember reading about it and I though it'd take off but the variability is just too great - plus not a whole lot has been done on it since -
As for the GI of carrots - Peeled and boiled its...
