I have recently been assured by a new physio that I do not have SIJD... but it was mentioned that he could see why I'd come to that conclusion.
Apparently its a 'mobile disc'... which sounds...
I'm currently having physio for what he (the physio) has described as a 'mobile disc'... whatever it is, the pain (muscle spasms) in my lower back were so bad last friday that I went to my GP. He...
It'd very much depend on the severity I suppose. They have access to first class medical support and physio and are supremely well conditioned athletes, plus I'm sure there is plenty of 'pre-hab'...
I don't disagree. League is one of the most physically demanding things I've done!
My point was that learning the game wouldn't be any harder. Its a great sport too.
No not at all. I started MMA at 32 after years of rugby so I can't see why the opposite can't be true.
Listen to your team mates and stand where your told in defence, be aggressive and run hard...
We? Strange choice of words.
Well the guy I saw is the rugby club physio in Burton, he's a good guy and managed to fix every other problem I've been to him with.
Maybe I'll try somewhere else for a second opinion though. Any...
Mostly flexibility around the hips and trunk, bog standard stuff. Avoided anything that aggravates through trial and error.
The ones I discovered online are the type of low level stimulation...
I had physio on my back earlier in the year and while the guy is good, I think he assumed I needn't have know all the technical ins and outs of my injury. He treated me well and until last week the...
I get quite confused about heart rates, I have always used the 220 - age method, but it never seems to be even vaguely accurate. I used the Karvonen formula and it worked out at nearly exactly the...
Thats almost exactly how I planned my 12 week 'period'! :)
Shame so few turn up for the full 12 weeks :(
I run a conditioning class which I started up twice weekly last October. I carefully planned and periodised the training over 12 week blocks to mimic 'fight prep', including various work/rest ratios,...
Yeah, somewhere down south near Portsmouth I think. The same friend texted me to tell me she had just tried some very hot chilli ice cream?!?!
Something of an oxymoron there!
I've had some devon naga powder in my kitchen for 3 years. I tried a few specks of it on my fingertip and cried, never touched the stuff since and I like hot food!
I just had a text from a friend...

Clayhill 'Afterlight'.
There's a good cover of The Smiths' 'Please please please let me get what I want' on it.
I usually use itunes (hangs head in shame) where does everyone else get theirs?...
I enjoy and appreciate what MMA has become (or is becoming) as a recognised, legitimate sport.
But that said events like the Dream 'Hulk' tournament (if that is the name? ) are...

oh how ironic, the day after posting this thread i got a virus!
think i've sorted it now, it wouldn't let me use explorer but managed to sort it with AVGfree.
i'm assuming everything is ok at...
I buy a lot of stuff online which is why I'm bothered... I watch a lot of online films and tv from sites like stagevu and tvshack... I'm assuming they're not too dodgy? Though I've heard bad things...
Am I better off just using Norton then do you think? I'm a bit of an IT dunce. I'm now wondering if the potential stress and continual retrievement of my laptop from the garden (after chucking it out...
Anyone got any good advice on internet security packages? I've got norton at the moment (which came with the laptop) its £40 to update my subscription for a year.
I'm guessing there's better value...
