mine is orono, im a bit biased on this as master chana trained orono when he was a teen and has loads of vids of his fights and him sparring and training which he plays constantly in the gym..

ive been training at master chanas in preston on/off for a couple of years now and i have never once seen or heard any of the pros use a rolling pin, bottle etc.. master chana just says keep kicking...

also thinner pads when theyve conditioned a bit as they will condition your partners forearms aswell, many a time ive partnered with a pro and can feel his shins right through the pads..

was expensive but well worth it!!:D

this all depends on how your class is structured but at the end of each lesson i would also try and aim to do 50 kicks on each leg. obviously youre not going to be able to do it day one but try 20,...
