At last count there are seven of us heading up from Grip.
That's mainly down to fear of loosing in front of him.
Pretty sure he said it's the same hall that was used for the 2011 Grab & Pull Scottish Open, not the 2012 one. Whole place remains a maze to me.
Do you know if you guys will be using the usual no-gi weight categories or some other set?
I'll second that notion. Must admit I had my reservations about it before hand but it was awesome, well worth the trek north.
Anyone on here driving through to this from Inverness?
Move me down to U75kg please. What time will weigh ins be open the day before?
Cool, I'm in. I'll keep an eye out on here for details.
Lesnar looked to me the same fighter he was in his last match against Velasquez. Saying that, there's no doubt his surgery would've affected him, but if he wasn't fit enough to fight then the blame...
I'll come along to this. Will be able to tie it in to a trip home. What are the rules, how much is it, what divisions will you be aiming to run and when will the closing date for entries be?
I'm game for this, just about to PM you my details.
I'd reckon it's pretty unlikely it'll be a sprung floor, I think there's fairly few clubs in the UK lucky enough to have access to one for training. I doubt the floor/mats will be the cause anyway;...
Yeah mate, as I was saying at training today just go for it. Its a local comp, good banter and competing is more fun than not competing every time.
Awesome news, plenty room in the market for more gi comps. Definitely up for this.
Jeez that's awful, thoughts go out to him.
Yeah I agree that to a certain extent rugby is still developing as a pro game. I played district level for north of Scotland U18s, that's pretty much one step bellow Scotland U18s (especially in the...
Obviously there's PEDs in UK sport too but surely you'd admit its vastly more common in the big US sports. I see what you mean about rugby being relatively recently turned pro, but 16 years is more...
Nothing to do with the thread topic but a relevant comment to most of the discussion I guess. Would you guys having the rugby vs NFL debate not agree that the main reason the weights the players can...
What date is the next round of this? Sure I read somewhere its being held in conjunction with an MMA event at Kelvinhall in November but I can't find the original thread and can't remember exactly...
Seven times the past twelve months between Judo, BJJ and No-Gi. Would prefer to do one every 4-6 weeks depending on whether or not it involved cutting weight but wouldn't say I'm at the stage where...
This event's always huge. Just won't fill up till closer to the time as nobody in Scotland likes parting with cash until is absolutely necessary.
I think you've hit the nail on the head. There are clearly some, albeit perhaps not many, situations where it is acceptable to train at more than one club. You'd probably agree that the key is to...
