I've been training 3 years and have had ringworm once. It wasn't a big deal. I didn't train for one week, used an over the counter cream and it went away soon after.

Keep training and drilling the basics - learning it physically is way more important than learning it mentally.

Bit late but a couple things I always hear being said to beginners;

-try not to use brute force. Will be difficult without knowing many techniques, just bear this in mind.

Our gym has a half cage wall at one end. Helps the mma guys but is irrelevant for bjj.

In sparring I like to remind those who aren't aware not to leave themselves open to straight ankle locks when applicable by demonstration of the position without actually putting it on, if that makes...

This may not be the case for Gym Box but in my experience when a club or instructor holds classes within a gym I didn't have to be a member to take the classes.
