I would check the rules on the judo thing, i did a bjj tournament last month and lost bronze medal in amateur catergory to someone that has done akido for 3 years and judo for 2 and a half years but...

having less belts makes it harder to get the next belt, not including stripes that is and sometimes makes me feel like there is a massive difference between me and the blue belts. But the system...

yh ditto that, watch it again and again. Just to add we get taught vale tudo and chute boxing but not allowed to spar it due to rules its like our ''real approach'' side of things in class ....
