The coach should have been measuring the depth of those squats and not just the height of the box jumps....

Sorry for the delay on getting back to you - I haven't been on here in ages. This sandbag was 30kg. Generally would recommend anything between 25-50%BW for this particular workout.

Running marathons is fine - but just don't let him train like a marathon runner. And this programme straight sucks.

There is a lot of science here but I would echo what has already been said - an increase in body temperature creates a thermoregulatory response that may or may not result in increased calorie...
Multivitamins suck and you'll probably just end up shitting them out. Unless you've been diagnosed with a deficiency, and you already have a reasonably good diet it might be a macro-nutrient balance...

Stop following a bodybuilding routine - it's not appropriate for MMA. Focus on some big lifts (dead, squat, press), some Oly lifting, and supp this with some bodyweight and agility work.

I think the problem is that people think strength & conditioning=weight training or some specific training protocol. This is incorrect. Strength and conditioning is an outcome, not a protocol.

There is no reason that they can't be included in an aerobic base protocol - they all have regressions and progressions. And what is the reasoning behind segregating the aerobic and strength...
Not disagreeing but it would be nice to have some better exercise choices, independent of training phase.
