What are 'greens' good for? Saw the above link and read all the fancy horticultural names...but I dont' have a clue. Someone help enlighten me on this please.

is there any major difference between the varying 'greens' powders? I was looking at Udos' would anyone reccomend?

Is greens+ really the best or just a very well marketed product? Which greens powder is generally considered the best or are they all the same? I mean I saw a cheap generic version in H&Bs

I'm no expert and I am sure Detox or Tomato would explain better than I but here goes (appologies if I'm wrong).

Greens are basically a whole food alternative to vitamins and minerals tablets. They are basically a variety of fruits and veg (some real 'super veg') that supply a wide range of vits and mins but because they are whole food just ground down its is suggested they are much more bio-availble when your body trys to absorb them. As well as this there are a plethora of phytonutrients within plants that are still being discovered and our bodies kind of like, these aren't found in standard vit pills.

They are oretty much considered a cure all for everything depending on who you speak to but the general principle is that its a supplement to the general western diet that is lacking in good fruit and veg sources.

They came to attention in MMA through Randy Couture and his adoption of an akalysing diet. In short the western diet is far too acidic and our bodies don't like that and crave alkaline foodstuffs (just so happens that leafy greens are perfect for this) so greens powders provide an alakine load which helps offset the acidic red meat and dairy diet most of us have. This has many many benefits one of which is increased energy levels.

All good in theory I won't comment on practical applications but I will say everything that is suggested about them makes perfect sense to me and I really do fancy trying some finally.

no cutting to pieces 2day you are about right there tbh, although i would add greens are also very good 2 keep you aroundabouts alkaline. cancers etc cannot grow in alkaline conditions every1 is born alkaline and the majority die acid. I would justy go for greens the id go for all of your colours i.e red yellows blues aswell much better for your body 2 get everything you need.

    Wait for it

    Here's the bare faced pimping

And it just so happens i do such a product its called rainbow lightning got all of the above. link below.
