After advice please.

Got 3pts May 05, then another 3 in 06, and another 3 in 07!, then got flashed in feb! Have now received court date for 16th oct!. What can i do to hopefully dodge a ban! And if i cant how long do they ban you for, am gonna plead guilty obviously, is it worth getting a solicitor. Need my car for EVERYTHING really, any help much appreciated!
