Thread: PhD Supplements - any good?

  1. #1

Default PhD Supplements - any good?

I am looking at some recovery products and some pre-training stuff.

At the mo I use no-xplode and syntha-6 both happy with. But no xplode has a shit load of caffeine in it, so was looking at moving to xyience nox cg3?

Also looking at getting some bsn cell max and phD pharma gain or synergy, any ideas?

    Thanks!!!

Just started some synergy, only been using it a few days so cant really comment, seems good value. Ive got the chocolate cookie flavour which is a bit too sweet for me to be honest.

Gimme a week or so and i will let you know how it is going.

I've been really happy with the stuff I get from PhD - in all honesty theirs is the best stuff I've ever used (I know I'm supposed to say nice things about them because they sponsor me, but I do actually mean it....).

I used the pharma gain with really good results coming up to my last fight.

Pre-training / competition, it's hard to beat PhD's "wired" - it does also have caffine in it, but f*ck me it works... the only problem is trying not to bounce off the walls for the rest of the day...

Trying to stop Rosi bouncing off the walls after she's had it is equally challlenging

Phd is pretty good I have to agree. I'm also a fan of CNP and a new one I've started buying from is Ultimate Nutrition (don't know website off the top of my head! (www.ultimate-nutrition.co.uk maybe?)

    Cool, thanks everyone!!

I am not a big fan of all this caffeine, but I get that 'tigger' feeling from the no-xplode too!!!

Of the branded stuff, the best two IME are :

    Optimum Nutrition and PhD..

I'm a massive fan of MyProtein's gear though, same effects for me as any branded gear i've tried and a fraction of the cost too

    Inner Armour

Prolab (there stuff is definately getting better)

    EAS

Optimum Nutrition I heard some very shady rumours about these guys

    And Worst Brands

Maximuscle Actually the best protein results I have ever seen, just way over priced.

Xyence from what ive tried The prices have come down by about 50% making them a much more realistic option

    Met-RX
