    Default Ps3 Wireless Online Help!!


    cant get my little bro's PS3 to work online(wireless)!!
    it keeps asking for the WEP password or some shit!!

    What do i do?????

    ok this is easy when you set it up it says auto or manual pick auto and just keep pressing the x button thats how i did it

    The router has wep encryption set up to stop random people logging onto your network. You'll need the wep key to connect to it, ask whoever set up the router

    That would be your mum. You can either use WEP or WPA encryption for security.

    In basic terms, your mum has put a password on the router to stop neighbours and stuff using your network connection. To access it, just log into your router settings (usually an address like 182.192.00.10 or something. Inside here will be the WEP key you need. Your mum most likely put in a passphrase which is a word. This automatically generates a WEP key though which is like a 12 digit number or something. The number is what you need to enter into your ps3
