I suppose it depends which eventsor fights it covers.

Ultimate Combat has had some great fights and many of the UK's crop of top fighters cut their teeth on the UC shows.

Sort of off topic: But why did Dale quit promoting ? I know he wasn't that well respected for paying fighters 50p to compete and then charging them for gloves etc but he had a full house at every show I went to.

Good question, I always thought it was an odd one, he was getting over 2,000 fans at the last shows he did. Even if he started paying fighters a decent wage, he would of been making money..... must be more to it.

Maybe the Cage Rage guys told him to stop promoting?

I'm not sure if you are being subtle and ironic (and I'm being too dumb to get it) but I did actually hear a rumour back in the day that he was 'encouraged' out of business by people

I think the other promotions ganged up and said that to promote in the Uk you had to be bald or greying. The was no room for a 'Strawberry blonde' (read: ginger) young promoter.

Dale, his dwarf sidekick Ben and bodyguard Laura were no match for the power of the baldness.

Or so rumour goes anyway.
