    Default legal in judo?

I'm not sure, is it legal to take someone to the floor with a choke as demo'd in this vid? I thought you had to attempt a takedown to enter newaza, but my knowledge of judo rules are rusty

Looks legal enough as you are not throwing with a strangle on. However it looks as if you would be dragging to the ground so would receive a shido unless looking to score from you sacrificing yourself.
Grips look too poor for judo though

Wouldn't it be considered Hikikomi, which i thought is only legal in Kosen style (and BJJ, which is the same thing )

I think it would be precluded under the IJF rule about falling to the mat?

    Default Choke

Keith Owen is showing a move on his DVD of favourite BJJ moves - NOT Judo favourite moves

Whether or not this move is legal in Judo is another thing entirely- his DVD is about his favourite moves.

    In BJJ

    Please read the label

And your contribution to answering my question was what exactly?

I fail to see what you've achieved other than appear facetious, as I did not ask where the video came from, who made it or how he felt about the moves demonstrated.
