Default Quannum Fighting Challenge 3 - June 8th - Batley

The Quannum Fighting Challenge returns on June 8th with its first event of 2008 at a brand new venue, as the success of the two previous shows have meant the QFC team have had to move out to a bigger venue in the form of the Frontier Nightclub in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Also this time round the Quannum Fighting Challenge will be held in association with the Cage Warriors Fighting Championships, as these two like-minded organisation have come together to co-promote the third QFC event and hope to make this latest instalment of the QFC series, the biggest to date.

Like the previous two QFC events this show will be held on a Sunday inside a nightclub as the organisers hope to reclaim the tense but exciting atmosphere of the previous two events. However travelling fans will be pleased to know the timing of the show will be brought forward and the action inside the 32 foot CWFC Octagonal cage will kick off at 1pm, which will allow the fans in attendance plenty of time to get home and beat the Sunday night rush

As in previous QFC events, local fighters from Team Quannum will feature heavily on the card as they look to improve on their fine performances during 2007. Those names already confirmed for the card includes Ian “M-16” Butlin as he looks to get back on track domestically after defeats to top European opposition such as Cengiz Dana, Aiden Marron and Jarkko Latomaki.

Whilst Matt “12 Gauge” Thorpe returns to action after his impressive submission win over Mark O'Toole in Cage Warriors, as he looks to continue to climb up the Welterweight rankings and claim his second win in QFC competition after defeating the Shooto Europe veteran Raymon Jarman at QFC 2 last year.

Also in action is the unbeaten Lightweight Martin Stapleton who will look to build on his perfect 4-0 professional record. Like Matt Thorpe; Stapleton is also coming off a win at the last Cage Warriors show, where he defeated the young Wolfslair Academy prodigy David Johnson in a gritty three round battle.

Whilst other named fighters on the show includes the impressive up-and-coming Welterweight Simon Phillips (5-1-0), the powerful Middleweight Lee Austin (3-2-0), the Light-Heavyweight bruiser Danny Giblin, the Caged Steel fighter Dave “Hollywood” Hirst and the K-1 UK veteran Chris Cooper. Whilst the undercard is crammed full of up and coming Team Quannum members looking to make their way in the UK MMA scene.

Everyone connected with the Quannum Fighting Challenge and Cage Warriors are looking forward to working together on this event.

Just down the road from my house! I might stand a chance of selling a ticket and not getting booed.

    Default Quannam

Always a great show, should be even better at the frontier, this club is built for a cage. The layout of the club ensures everyone gets a great view and resembles a half amphitheatre. Caged Steel is in Dewsbury, the next town and I used to have a gym 200 yards away from the frontier in Batley. all the quannam guys used to come train there now and then many moons ago. HAPPY DAYS!

Like Neil said he had a gym just metres away from the Forntier that all the original guys trained at. Its gonna be like returning home!!

Cant wait for this show, i was going to take a few weekes off after the last fight but dont wanna miss out on a QFC show.

Stapes is right, Scott Hewitt definately deserves a mention, 2-0-0 at B- class and so naturally girfted its unreal.

    Cant wait!!
