Call me old fashioned, but if your mates have dropped out, shouldn't they be paying for the tickets ?, I've had to drop out of of things in the past but have always squared my mates up.

i was in a similar situation where i got a ticket for me, a mate and one of his mates and the 3rd person dropped out. luckily i managed to get rid, albeit at a small defecit.
