Thread: Glucosamine

    Default Glucosamine

    Hello guys,

I recently received some conflicting advice, so thought where better to ask than here..

Amongst all the other tablets and things I'm taking, I'm currently taking Glucosamine Hydrochloride and Glucosamine Sulphate tablets daily as recommended to help reduce joint injuries.

Recently though I was told that you shouldn't have too much Glucosamine as it could have an adverse effect.

Is this crap or is there any truth in it?

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I take about 1.5g of each, so no where near an excessive amount if you can take up to 5g.

That puts my mind at rest. Cheers.

    Thanks again for the advice.
My wrists are killing me at the moment, so I might up the dose a little and see if I can get hold of some of that MSM stuff.
    Cheers again.

yeah wrists and elbows they are the ones hahah !! plus my knees if i have been squatting .

If im doing a heavy ish session i will always take glucoasime, msm and amino acid formula an hour before my work out so hopefully during and immediatley after my body can use it for repair.

obviously not scientifically proven to work ( what is ) but seems to keep my pretty "greased up "

    word!!

Be aware that it takes up to three months to build or increase levels of Glucosamine in the body.

Hydrolysed callogen has (or seems to have) helped me repair pretty shot kness and shoulders. Dose up on it, takes a couple of weeks to get in the system but you shold notice the difference
