Does anybody know of anything up my way? I live on Anglesey, I've never done MMA before - I did a bit of Muay Thai before I started seeing my Mrs, wanna get back into something and it's MMA I wanna do.

I have no idea where there are any gyms, I heard there is one in Rhyl and one in Wrexham but that's way too far for me to travel without my own car ATM. I don't think there are any on Anglesey otherwise I'd have probably found it by now... but anybody know of any around Bangor?

    Thanks ya sheep shaggers!

I think Mike Edwards from maesteg runs some classes, I think CACC wresting but may be mistaken. If not always welcome to pop down to treorchy. www.rhonddabjj.com we offer gi and no gi BJj, Submission wrestling, muay thai, boxing, strength and conditioning.

I teach in Bridgend on Saturday mornings, not far from Maesteg... a few guys travel down from there. Full details can be found here: http://www.ChrisReesAcademy.com (we also have lessons every day in Swansea and 5 days a week in Cardiff plus a few in other places).

    Hi guys,
I'm looking for a MMA gym in or near the Pontypridd area that is suitable for beginners, I do weights and cardio so I'm reasonably fit but I have zero experience of fighting.
I live in Pontypridd which is pretty much half way between Cardiff and Merthyr so I'd be able to travel as far as merthy or cardiff to train, or anywhere else near by- Caerphilly or Rhondda for example.
Ideally, I'm looking for a full time MMA gym, but a part time type set up would be fine or somewhere that just specialises in one aspect e,g boxing, mauy thai or BJJ
I keep hearing of a gym called "Hill Tribes" but every address I have found for them, I have visited and they are not there./..do they actually exist?
There are plenty of MMA promotions in wales e,g Valley Of Kings, Merthyr Mayhem...all these guys that compete at these events must be training at a full time gym somewhere...but where are these elusive gyms?
Sorry if my question has been answered, I read through the thread in a rush so Iv possibly missed something...
