Afternoon, all…..

Was gonna keep this quiet, but seeing as we might be needing a proverbial carrot to drag more stinking Welsh arses down to the open mat on the 20th July, I’m gonna blow the lid on this anyway, as unbelievably I’m getting more interest shown by western English and south western English clubs who want to attend !

Right, the open mat is £3. Less than most of you pay for a lesson.

Every penny made on the day not used to cover mat hire etc, will be used to fund and set up a website focusing on any and all Welsh MMA, BJJ, Grappling, Thai, reality based fighting arts etc .

This Welsh Fighting Alliance website should hopefully include…

An introduction to the WFA, its aims and objectives.

Regional news, competition/seminar/show announcements.

A regional club directory.

Individual club spotlights (with direct links to currently available club websites) and fighter focus'.

A forum.

A Fighters Wives Section.

I’ve got off my arse to sort this cos I was getting weekly emails saying ‘Hi, I’m Ianto from Ynysybwl and I’m looking for a club to train in, see butt…’ and I’d just point them in the general direction of their nearest club.
I’ve thrown ‘Wales MMA’, ‘Welsh MMA’ etc into Google a few times and just got bits and pieces but nothing overly helpful for people trying to find a club.

This is gonna cost me time and money and I’ll probably get nothing of mention back but at least it’ll keep me busy for a few months instead of me stroking my pole stupid outside animal sanctuaries.

Through phone calls, emails and general local knowledge I’ve sourced 16 clubs in the South Wales area to who this should be of interest, many of these could not support a website off their own backs.

Anyway, Chris (Godders from this site) has offered his services and is currently sourcing someone cheap and reliable to host the site, then he’s going to build it himself from the ground up.
And the fuckers Scottish for fucks sake, lol !

So basically, every Welsh club pull their finger out and try to get at least a couple of their guys/girls down to show willing and hopefully you’ll all see the benefit asap….
