Default Anybody here ever had Prolotherapy (for injured or weak ligaments)?

I was wondering if anyone here has had prolotherapy before?

I have booked myself an appointment to see a specialist following some research on the Internet. It seems to be around 70% succesfull

I have lax ligaments in my back (long story) which a chiropractor has improved over the past few years, however BJJ and MT training can really antagonise them and stop me training.

Normally the advice on these forums is really helpfull so any help would much appreciated

Incase anyone is interested in having this therapy, here's a quick run down of how the treatment went for me:

Had the injections 10 weeks ago and so far so good. My back is holding pretty well with a job where I'm on my feet all day. I also had some corrective treatment from the Chiropractor so its hard to tell which is the main factor in this.

I have barely had much time to train properly apart from some running. The only side effect is that my right hip is clicking a bit as a result of the ligaments in my back tightening up. The chiropractor said my body should correct itself with in a few months.

There are not many practitioners in the UK who are half decent. By all accounts the therapist I saw has decades of experience in prolotherapy and has treated many professional athletes:

    Dr. D ANDERSON
BUPA Wellness, The Spectrum, Bond Street, BRISTOL. BS1 3LG.
    Tel: 07002 779362

I'm unable to check this forum as often as I'd like but dont hesitate to post any questions.

The injections didn't hurt too much and were located around my pelvis area, 2 each side.
