Out of interest do you expect your foreign fighters to book and pay for their own flights and hotel ? And also make their own way to the hotel?

    Hi Ian,

to put it simply, yes. We regularly have foreign amateur athletes competing on the events in the Kickboxing division. You can see this on the show reports on the website at www.aka-england.org

They cover their expenses through raising their own sponsorship, and we help with the coordination, i.e. transport etc...

Recently had an Indian that has competed on our events twice, email us asking to compete in an MMA bout at 77kgs.

Also, although the entries have not yet officially opened yet ( 1st Sept ) just had a Canadian entry for the Kickboxing come through, as well as two Turkish entries.

    Wow.............

Do you pay flights and accommodation for pros ?

As just about every UK MMA promotion pay for flights/accommodation for 95% of their fighters. It's just interesting to see what others do

    Good luck to you

We have no plans at the moment to return to promoting Pro. bouts, as we are pretty busy organising a circuit of six Amateur events per year for the Kickboxing.

When we did, ( and we may yet do again in the future ), yes we pay Pro's purse's along with ticket commisions and expenses. These were all for Kickboxing bouts though. See...

We have only recently added Amateur MMA to the events, and are expecting it to take a while to build up. The bouts we have had on were well received though by the audience. Hopefully, more amateurs may like to gain/build up their MMA experience on these events, especially as they are held bi-monthly.
