Default help + advise on shoulder injury

hi i have had a shoulder problem for a little over 3 months, i did it either weightlifting or through mma training, or both, and kept training through it thinkin it would was just a pull and would go away, well it didnt and 3 months later i still have it, went to the doctors and got advised rest and ibropoufen, did that for 2 weeks+ went on holiday for 2 weeks, so had a month off! now i am trying to do gentle exercises, and things t rebuild the muscle but not overly sure on any good exercises, stretches or techniques i can use to safely rebuild my muscle back up! cos desperatley want to train again soon! i have been advised a few rotater cuff exercises, but just wanted t knw if anyone on here knows of any? wud appreciate the help?

shoulders are a nightmae. i've had a dislocated clavicle for nearly 7 months now and it is driving me mad.

i've been advised by loads of people against having an op to screw it back in place coz you lose range of movement etc, but i dont know what else to do, nothing seems to be working.

i want a bionic shoulder for xmas.

i would reccomend a decent accupuncturist ( mine has 40 years experience ) plus maybe some good supplements to aid cartlidge/joint repair/regrowth.

Taking iboprufen is typical bad advice imho as it merely masks the symptoms instead of the cause.

I would recommend not wasting time and money on accupuncture.

I have a shoulder injury at the moment as well mate, so I know how frustrating it is (there isn't much you can do without using your shoulder!). I've taken quite a while off training and have been starting back slowly over the last week. I try to warm-up by doing (slow, controlled) rolls over my shoulder to make sure the flexibility is there.

Other than that I just ice it at night, that seems to help speed up the healing process.

you have obviously never been to a good accupuncturist , or did you read in one of your big pharma brainwashing manuals that it was a waste of time??

cheers guys, yeh it is annoyin as hell, all i wana do is get bck trainin, but i dnt wana push my shoulder too much, and then be right back were i was 2 mnths ago, it doesnt hurt or ache when stretching, or doing exercises on very low weights, but it hurts when i forget about it and move my arm suddenly,(sharp pain), i have been told to do certain exercises and increase the weights as and when it feels comfortable to do so, and try different things, and just stop if it hurts, is this good advice? or will i damage it more, doing too much too quickly? also been advised to get a massage?

I'm a big fan of hyrollysed collagen (something me and detox argee on) for my joints along with fish oils and glucosamine.

See if they work for you, that along with a second opinion from sports physio etc to check exactly what is damaged. Some of the guys who post on here are physio's so could be worth visiting them, at least they understand a kimura and how it's damaged you etc.

Yeah, if it's easier for you to make up some sort of "evil overlords" type fantasy to give you a reason to wear your tinfoil hat, that's great. You keep believing that.

I hope you read that as if I was being really pedantic, because that's how it was meant.
