Default Future MMA Stars at the Olympics?

I don't usually get too excited by the Olympics, apart from the Boxing and a couple of other bits and bobs, but I'm looking forward to watching out for any Judokas or Wrestlers who might be aspiring fighters.

It would be great to see an Olympic style Martial Arts event run in a similar way.

Peter Cousins is gona be awsome at MMA if he turns. But i doubt it. He had one fight against Rob Broughton http://www.mmauniverse.com/fighters/SS15766 and completely dominated it. With some striking training he would be awsome HW!!!

    Is he in the olympics?

I think they should have MMA in the olympics, or at least some kind of Amateur MMA.

A year or so ago FILA accepted submission wrestling as a form of competition and a consortium of fighters/administrators (I think Renzo was 1 of them) was trying to get it on the roster for 2016. But i then heard the whole thing fell apart, Kainer or anyone else know more about this?
For great training in Sydney, Australia go to www.bondidojo.com.au for excellent, BJJ, MMA and Muay Thai

i thought not a single person qualified in GB wrestling to the olympics?
They've got some good wrestlers from Iran and the Ukraine but haven't been in the country 5 years even though they have a British Passport. I think they setting there sites on the 2012 olympics.

Is there enough interest in traditional martial arts to even imagine that one day there could be something like that? A (bi)annual event incorporating a number of different martial arts and moving from City to City? Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, etc?

Then again, with MMA, ADCC, regular Muay Thai shows a lot of the arts probably wouldn't need it.

It would be a nice idea though.
