    Default Quick question ...

Does anyone know/know of a guy called Tim Ferriss?

I bought a book of his called the 4 hour work week (absolutely BRILLIANT read for anyone who is keen to be financially free and time rich!!) but he says that he is :

Princeton University guest lecturer in High-Tech Entrepreneurship and Electrical Engineering
Cage fighter in Japan, vanquisher of four world champions (MMA)
First American in history to hold a Guinness World Record in tango (video)
Advisor to more than 30 world record holders in professional and Olympic sports
    National Chinese kickboxing champion (video)
Glycemic Index (GI) researcher Political asylum researcher and activist
    MTV breakdancer in Taiwan
    Hurling competitor in Ireland
Actor on hit TV series in mainland China and Hong Kong

I couldn't find anything about him on sherdog.com but... well.... I wanted to see if there were any substance to his claims...

    Anyone.

Saw that as well - hard to trace any of his claims

Tim Ferriss is my guru! His blog is awesome, and 4HWW has changed my whole outlook on life.

If you read his section on 'instant expert', you'll realise all his claims are carefully crafted marketing. He probably tapped out 4 ex world champions in some discipline or other, or something like that. He mentions training MMA in Germany, and also mentions training NoGi BJJ from time to time.

Agreed with Tom, Tim is a very cool guy and his blog rocks.

We at FO did a piece on Tim and his 4HWW book. It is hard to verify some of his claims but he does:
    * hold national championship titles in San Shou
    * have a judo black belt
    * train at AKA in San Jose

He says he trained in Japan and fought Rumina Sato in what sounded like an interclub match
