WFC 6: "Relentless"
After five successfull events in Slovenia and Croatia, World Freefight Challenge already established reputation as one of the leading mixed martial arts promotions in this part of Europe.
Now this international promotion is taking another step forward, with
their first MMA event in Bulgaria, which is scheduled for September 27th.
On September 27th in Winter Palace, Sofia,Bulgarian MMA fans will be able
to witness 6 fights of exciting action by some of the best european
fighters.
In welterweight division, Edvin Ramedovic from Slovenia (1-0), second
degree black belt in taekwondo, will fight croatian fighter Ivan Truscek
(3-2), who is specialized in wrestling and boxing.
Relentless fighter from Greece, Christos Petroutsos will take on Italian
Marco Santi. Santi already fought Bojan Kosednar on WFC 4, and despite loss
proved to be a formidable opponent.
One of the top Croatian fighters, Damir Mirenic (8-4), already fought some
of the world's best fighters in middleweight division. Now he is back in
welterweight division, for a fight with Fabricio Nascimento, brazilian jiu
jitsu specialist with impressive score of 20 victories with 7 defeats.
Lukasz Jurkowski „Juras“(13-7), polish fighter from KSW team, is a
taekwoodo specialist and winner of the World Cup in Taekwondo, one of top
fighters in Europe in this weight clas, he will fight with Mike Edwards
(2-2), englishman from Trojan team. His teammate from KSW, polish judoka
Antoni Chmielewski "Antonio"(11-3)who is judo black belt and ex v-ce
Champion of Poland and Europe in judo, will take on young and talented
serbian fighter Dragan Tesanovic (3-0).
Main event of the evening, for the WFC belt in middleweight division is
scheduled between bulgarian MMA and grappling legend, Lubomir Guedjev
(7-3), and Pride veteran Jean Lenogue (14-8-2).This two warriors will fight
fot the first WFC world title.
In Muay Thai part of event we will have two super fights and four man
tournament -70kg. In first semi-final of the tournament Jose Barradas from
Portugal will face to Mohamad Mojaid from Morocco, in second semi-final
Aydin Tuncay will fight against Bulgarian fighter Vladimir Valev. Winners
from semi-finals will face in the final bout.
In first super fight exciting fighter from Thailand Kaoponlek will fight
against French fighter Johny Tancray.
Main fight in Muay Thai part will be the fight between legendary fighter
from
South Africa, with boxing record(45-4-2), who also was on K-1 world grand
prix 2004. and who fought with some big names like Mike Tyson, Shannon
Briggs, Axel Schulz, Michael Moorer, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko,and
scores victories in K-1 against Jerome Le Banner and Peter Aerts, Francois
Botha "White Buffalo" will face winner of KO World Series in Auckland
tournament where he won Alexey Ignashov and Stipan Radic, French fighter,
Gregory Tony.
