I'm sure he wouldn't be upset. Not sure why you are so upset?

There's nothing to be ashamed about in knowing your lineage. That is something you should be proud of.

    Hmm thanks.

Who did he get his belt from at Alliance though? Fabio Gugel? Jacare Cavalcanti? Ricardo Viera?

I saw him on a Swedish TV show called Rallarsving from Ricardo's gym and he was on Camera alot with Andreas and Musse.

    Thanks.

Mystery Solved. It's the legendary Fabio Gurgel (Master of Marcelo Garcia Terrere and Demian Maia)

    Sources:

    1.
Leo started training with Murillo Bustamante, from whom he got his purple belt. At that time he was recruited to the Alliance team by Fabio Gurgel to help open up the first serious BJJ academy in Sao Paolo. There Negão was one of three teachers under Fabio Gurgel, together with Leo Vieira and Terere.

Lo Nego is a 2nd degree black belt under Master Fbio Gurgel.

Anyone have any experience of being taught by Leo?

What's he like as a coach? Thanks

His skills and knowledge are unquestionable, I would like to know what sort of coach he is as well. He seems to be more involved with the no gi and training mma fighters rather than preparing guys for grappling competitions I believe. I need to make the trip some day to train with Leo.
