Virgin Broadband = shite

i dont even download a lot, but they keep throttling my supposedly 'unlimited' broadband anyway - i cant even watch youtube videos!

i tested my download speed and its approx what a dial-up modem is.

Anyone know how they are allowed to do this when they have sold me 'unlimited' broadband?

I have Virgin Broadband and have exactly the same problem, my internet goes slow for absolutely no reason and it becomes impossible to use.

i got 20meg of virgin and it was shit i go online with the xbox wen it eventually let me into a game i would be laggin allover, it also matters on how many people use the same exchange as you (the green box on or near your road)

I had the same problem and found out that Virgin cap your speeds!

Im on 10mb and get 1.10mb downloading

But once i go past say 3-4gb in prime time i get capped to 256kb

So i try do my downloading past 11.00 at night then they wont cap you. i think the capping time is between 5-11 but im not sure.

kin ell that is shocking service , i have nildram at home ( ok speeds ) and bt at the office , the BT is brilliant ( but not cheap ) , people are so busy trying to save £3 a month that they end up with a wank service ( ask yourself is it really worth it )

I got a good deal so i cant moan to much.

Broadband (10mb) TV (everything but sports and movies) Phone (unlimited to land lines) for 30 quid a month.
