Training in Brazil

Has anyone here ever trained in Brazil? can you give details; where? Prices etc?

FO did a bit aboout this last year , they did a few locations and Brazil was one, pretty sure.... maybe PM Hywel and ask him what back issue it was

If you want just training then try the gracie camp. We went and were very well looked after, you get breakfast and dinner as well as a great location not far from the beach. Really safe and you get taken to and from training at gracie barra included in the price. You also get some privates at the camp.

If you are going on your own there will normally be other people at the camp to hang around with. Plus you can get away with being english and not knowing any of the language, although if I go again I will learn some first.

Probably cheaper to do a hotel/hostel and just pay for training at barra but it's a nice easy option for your first trip.

Went for a month, when i was 17, a group of 4 of us rented an nice apartment in Niteroi, Rio. Trained with BTT, good experience.
Absolutley wonderful place.
Should imagine the Gracie place would be amazing as well.
Probably best to go in a group, to cut costs.

I trained at De La Riva, really ggod jits school and friendly guys too. Think I was paying 30 reis a wee, can't remember though.

If you go there speak to Ricardo as he will give you a proper rate, the staff in the Sports Centre try and charge you double.

no idea! would have gone to BTT but everyone seems to have emigrated to america lol
