    Default cauliflower ear

    had my cauliflower ear drained today how long is best to leave it before startin back mma/kickboxin again?

    i had mine drained 4 times and found it worked better once i left it to go hard then had it drained. leave it heavily wrapped for about a week.

    Can't it make you deaf if you don't see to it? I suppose it depends on where the cauli is?

    lol i wish mate, all the girls i spoke to were like "ah thas mingin" etc etc lol. went to the doctors nd he wrapped a huge bandage round my head aswell, looked like somethin off a WW2 movie like.

    My mate is an audiologist (and BJJ blue belt) and he has said it can't make you deaf. However, it can interfere with your hearing if the canal gets blocked (so could certainly reduce your hearing) and if it gets as bad as someone like Couture or Sakuraba it would cause major problems if you ever needed a hearing aid fitted.

    I had mine drained, then left it bandaged for 3 days. Went to training straight away after taking the bandage off.
