We are encourgaged to train at other gyms if we can and we have had fighters from various gyms come down to us for a session. its nice to roll with other people and get different spars in. IMO it will only help your game.

We are encouraged to train with other people, if you stay within the same people and arent competing in outside comps be it mma or grappling then you are only going to learn what the group learns or picks up.

Id rather pick new things up from anyone willing to let me train and showing them new things they might not know, but i have heard of clubs making their students sign agreements not to train at other clubs.

totally agree with that mate. I go to gym local to me (Treorchy) and train maybe once or twice a month there (either Wed evening or Sundays). There are a few Judo boys, Trad Jujitsu and MMA boys along with a few BJJ lads (Different clubs around south Wales too). Varying standards from BJJ blue belts, Jujitsu Blacks and browns, Judo Browns and some pretty high level MAA guys. It's really good, mostly just sparring and rolling and the odd discussion on technique. Only a quid each too!!
please pm me the details wagon and i will try and pop along

if your a whit belt or new to the bjj mma game it's cool imo

but when you get gradded or fight mma for your club you should stay loyal to that club/instuctor/ training parteners........

I Trained at numerous clubs and found that i was encouraged to do so as i spent more time and got closer with people at other gym, my first instructor got and my relationship with him was affected. I ended up leaving and training at the new club as i had a closer relationship with the people
