OK, being a feather-weight fighter I have always been really careful with my diet and stuck to around 1600 calories a day, sometimes going up to around 1800 calories a day.
I came across this article 2 weeks ago:
http://www.pponline.co.uk/encyc/0127.htm
And decided to give it a try, I put my calories up to about 3000, which is a lot for me... I didn't eat shit to do it, I eat really healthy anyways, so just doubled pretty much all my portions.
And I have to say for me it has worked loads... Actually, lol, because I have had so much more energy to train I have lost half a kilogram! Anyway, thought I would post the article up here so people could experiment with it...
The athletes they used actually ate on average 2350 calories and boosted them up to 4000, I would try that next, but I feel full as heck as it is on 3000!!! I have to go back down to about 2500 next week, just to feel more comfortable and as long as my energy levels/recovery remain I'll stay there but I won't go back to 1600 again![]()
