I know that a lot of fighters on here i.e. smiler advocate 'cheating' as part of a fighters diet. So, could I get away with 2-3 pints one night a week as my way of cheating? I'm 80kg now and need to get to 75-76 on the 23rd feb (day of weigh in).

I'd wait until after the competiton to be honest, dude
Agree with Dan there... whats more important to you your best performance or the odd pint?
Easy choice.![]()

Hi, I wouldn't term it cheating, more 'not depriving yourself' lol...
But as Neil says, what's more important?
Maybe just have a half...easier for your body to handle, sip it and make it last...

Plus drinking alcohol doesn't just affect your diet, it was also affect your performance the next day
ta for the advice guys, but what if I only drink on nights before my rest day? 2 pints is what, 500 cals? Would it affect me any more than having a couple of cheat meals?
Sawa, you sound like you have a drink proplem and are in need of a Bevvie lol

What are you weighing in for on the 23rd of Feb. Im asking because Ive got my first ama fight on that day, and the weigh in is the same day. If it turns out were fighting each other, you ignore this lot and get a few bevvies down your neck.![]()
