I had the same problem so now i just drink a shake about hour and a half before.
I personally drink phd ISO syergy (because its a great pre workout drink) then i add some creatine and 4 teaspoons of fish oils.
then after training ill get in my carbs

I try to eat nothing for about 3 hours before training (but make sure I've eaten plenty during the day), just keep myself hydrated.

hydration is very important, Something i neglated for too long.
Lately i've been getting in at least 3 litres before training (i think it should be more) and i feel alot fresher.
Also trying to drink at least a litre whilst training

I can only keep things down that have zero fat... don't know why. Not bothered cos I get lots of good fats during the day. 2 hours previous to training I'll normally have a banana or 2 and some cottage cheese or something or chicken whatever is around

I'll try not to eat anything 5 mins before training, or during.

I often used to eat a munchie box on the way to training or a burger king before I set off.
It was either that or I just ate berries an hour before hand followed by protein and carbs afterwards.
