Really disappointed that you've cancelled the under 48kg female category and the next one up is 55kg!!! so 7kg difference and that's only if the 55kg don't need to cut any weight!!!! You need a smaller female category even if it was under 50kg to close the gap a bit.

I believe that the main problem with the division was the lack of competitors in the two major competitions FILA had so far.

It's not a good thing to have a world championship with only 2 competitors.

the first one in 2007 had three the second in 2008 had five but three girls couldn't get into the country due to visa problems, (I am certain they will have paid entry fees and wouldn't have been refunded) and in 2009 it is in America so there will be lots more chance of getting new entries.

Im not exactly sure about the situation of the other 3 girls, but I remember some african teams (like nigeria) inscribing full teams (for both male and female classes and styles) but there was a very small chance that they would come to the competition.

But still, on one thing I do agree with you, I think that having the smallest division at 125 is a bit high. 115 could be a better weightclass for starters as it could include alot of girls that are too small for 125 and the ones that got cut from 105.
