Im sure they sell these gloves in argos, and lets face it any gloves from argos arnt going to be great. I had a pair of Ryko boxing gloves when i first started, they looked pretty cool but the stitching ripped pretty much straight away.

Your beter off sticking to a well known brand.

Check Ikusa.co.uk or goodkickin.co.uk I import and deign MMA Gloves and these gloves are stocked by these people. They retail at £26 - £27 and are made from 100% leather and have been tried and tested in many events. I also design a range of MMA Shorts, t-shirts, beanies, hoodies, BJJ Gi etc, also stocked by these companies.

I've got the good kickin MMA sparring gloves and they are really good at £26 or £27 quid they're well worth it. I prefer the throwdown gloves but the good kickin ones are very decent.

Had some of the Ryko "My first mma sparring gloves" they were terrible. Very uncomfortable and likely to damage your own hands and opponents face more than bare knuckle.

the old blue ones and the black ones are very very different - I think most people are talking about the blue ones

the black ones are solid, good quality gloves
