    nathan,

    if u dont mind me asking..how long did u train in the gi?

    was bjj ur first encounter with submission fighting?

    Don't train gi, never have. Only worn one a few times. One of the last times was just to get my purple. Sucks you can't really get graded nogi many places.

    I first got interested in MMA and it was the grappling aspect of it that which really caught my attention so naturally I just trained without the gi. Then Submission Wrestling started to develop and become popular and that became my main interest.

    excellent..thats quite an achievement!! Ur interest in mma is very similar to my own..love the grappling aspect of the game..be it standing or on the mat in the form of the ground game..

    nogi grading would be something that i'd really be ineterested in..but as you say..little opputunity for it.

    I'm sure if Lagartixa (or someone from his school) posts on the EFN thread with the date of the promotion and the Instructor who graded him it will be added
