Default Yusuke Masuda vs. Matt Thorpe At M-1 Challenge Next Wednesday in Japan

Although it's not made any news sites, yet. We have just got an e-mail from M-1 saying the KSW veteran Yusuke Masuda will face Matt Thorpe next Wednesday at the M-1 Challenge in Japan. This bout will be part of the best-of-five UK vs. Japan series at the show and will be Team UK's first ever bout in the M-1 Challenge.

    EDIT - It's Official http://www.cagewarriors.com/article.267.htm

CW.com will stream this event live on Wednesday 29th April from 11am UK time

Obviously disapointed that Fukuda dropped out, but Matt is on fire at the moment so it doesn't matter who they put in front of them

Good luck Matt Thorpe. Why did Fukuda have to pull out?

Also, there seems to be a large, favourable discrepancy in the record posted above (7-4-1) and the record on sherdog (2-5-2) anyone know what it really is?

Nice to see Matt fighting outside the UK once again. Matt's dedication to his training and the successes he's had are often under-rated...especially when you take into consideration he has a full-time job which involves working some very unsocial hours.
