B&Q were formed but Jack Black and Finley Quaye a few years back when they used to share an apartment. They were doing a bit of DIY but there wasn't a homebase for miles around, so opened their own store.

In order to protect their street cred (as they had budding music careers to think about), they changed the name from Black & Quaye to Block & Quayle and eventually B&Q
