if you like ghost in the shell (film), check out the series "stand alone complex" 1st and 2nd gig and solid state society, best depiction of GITS manga plus in fucking rocks

1. Texhnolyze: depressing, dark, underground city, with gangs
2. RahXephon: similar to evangelion but much better
3. Evangelion: a classic apocalyptic anime
4. Gigamesh: dark, gothic and apocalyptic
5. Gungrave: not really apocalyptic but sad and depressing especially the end
(mafia, gangs, revenge)
6. serial experiments lain: do not watch this late at night, it gives u a
headache, basically its like an acid trip!
7. Gantz: weird sci fi game thingy, but pretty good (manga comic is better though)
8. Ergo proxy: good sci fi with western feel to it, reminds me of logans run sort of.
