Thread: UFC Magazine Sneak Preview

    Default UFC Magazine Sneak Preview

Exclusive sneak preview of the UFC Magazine. Pretty slick production. My favourite is Bisping suited and booted next to an Aston Martin facing of a casual Dan Henderson next to some American muscle car, in the car park of a Las Vegas casino.

However my thoughts are although good it looks like the bastard love child of Fighters Only and FHM.

No idea. Got these photos from a fella in China, although the UFC being the UFc I would expect so at some point.

The UFC arnt exactly known for supporting their competitors. So does this mean that the UFC are not going to release event pix, give press passes, or even grant interviews with their fighters to other mags?

Its an interesting one, although so far its not confirmed many suspect this is the premier edition of a future monthly UFC mag.

Cutting off other mags might not work in the UFCs favour, the core of their business is always PPV, more exposure to drive PPV buys the better.

Maybe with their own mag now in competition they will try to monetize the access they grant other publications, charging for press passes, interviews with UFC contracted fighters etc.

Woudnt suprise me at all if UFC did limit/restrict/stop other MMA mags getting involved once this is off the ground. ITs a pattern they have followed in other areas and it seems to work for them.

End of day, the biggest MMA mags out there are only reaching a relatively small pool of fans (although growing) compared to the reach the UFC has. I can see every chav picking this up instead of FO or unltd as they do maintain there MMA fans quality content. UFC 'could' just print stuff to appeal to the TUF fanbase rather than the older generation of fans.

Notice pretty much all the sponsors in the mag are existing UFC sponsors, its gonna become a very small pool of companies who get 'exposure' through UFC in the future, tightening up all the time.

Hope its a good mag, depends on who its aimed at though imo.

    True dat: http://mmapayout.com/2009/06/ufc-ban...rel-companies/

Five Ounces of Pain was able to obtain an e-mail distributed by the UFC’s legal department that now lists Dethrone, One More Round, and Rolling Stone as a list of sponsors that will not be approved for UFC 100 on July 11. Unacceptable sponsors for UFC 100 also online Poker sponsors Full Tilt Poker, Ultimate Bet, and Party Poker.
The source added that several clothing sponsors have indicated that they were contacted recently by the UFC and informed that in order to have the ability to sponsor a UFC fighter during a UFC-promoted event that they would have to pay a $100,000 fee to the UFC for the right to sponsor a fighter.
