    Default Glasgow Open BJJ

    The 1st Glasgow Open BJJ Tournament will take place on Saturday the 13th of September at Glasgow Caledonian Universitys ARC Centre. Rules are the standard IBJJF rules which can be found here

    Competitors will be divided on belt categories with seperate divisions for white & blue belts. The weight categories for white and blue are as follows: -

    For purple belts there will be two open divisions, one for competitors below 75kg and one for those above.

    For brown and black belts if there is enough interest we can look at setting up divisions or matches but these are not scheduled at the moment.

    Match times: -
    White Belt - 5 minutes
    Blue Belt: - 6 minutes
    Purple Belt: - 7 minutes
    Brown belt: 8 minutes
    Black Belt: - 10 minutes

    Registration will be done online, all competitors must register prior to the event, NO REGISTRATIONS ON THE DAY!

    There should be, not sure as to how much or if we're not charging for them at all

    theres a ton of legit reasons to dislike where BJJ is today but poor teaching shouldnt be one of them....

    hate the players not the game
