    Default Weekly bitchings

    Part 1:

Its called grappling/wrestling sport for a reason, so make contact, and try something. Dont
1 Push off when someone comes close to you.
2 Use the whole mat to run away
3 Don't stiff arm the whole standing.
4 Don't hang onto thai clinch for dear life, it aint thai.

Try a wrestling move, a judo throw or pull guard. You cant get punched, so no need to get worried.
Dont walk backwards, for every step you walk backwards, i will set a house on fire.

How about when you try to give up position at the start of a roll (turtle, lie on your side, whatever...) and they still won't engage?! argh!

Maybe people who take up BJJ just aren't that aggressive?

Something I don't understand yet (as a newbie) is why most clubs train from the knees when all fights in comps start standing.

Maybe this is why people are so timid on their feet?

I think most places train on their knees because of the space gyms have.

True, starting standing needs to happen more still.

    Not a week already but:

If the teacher talks, or shows something. LOOK at what he does, i dont care if its your favorite move. If the main teacher talks, shut the fuck up and listen. Or ask a question. Dont fix your belt and look in the mirror if the bandana is still fitting right.
Brings me to the next one. A bandana what the fuck?

As you can imagine, i dont teach to much, my hearth cant take it.
