The 2nd Glasgow Open BJJ Tournament will take place on Saturday the 26th of September at Glasgow Caledonian Universitys ARC Centre. Rules are the standard IBJJF rules which can be found here
Competitors will be divided on belt categories with seperate divisions for white & blue belts. The weight categories for white and blue are as follows: -
u64kg
u70kg
u76kg
u82kg
u88kg
u94kg
94kg+
For purple belts and above demand will dictate the divisions available, if there are enough competitors we will run the divisions as normal. If not we may run 2 absolute style divisions, one for under 75kg and one for above.
Womens divisions will be offered at the following weight categories, however again these may not run depending on the level of entries: -
u53.5kg
u58.5kg
u64kg
u69kg
Over 69kg
Match times: -
White Belt - 5 minutes
Blue Belt: - 6 minutes
Purple Belt: - 7 minutes
Brown belt: 8 minutes
Black Belt: - 10 minutes
Registration can be done online prior to the event. Cost for registration is £20 before the 24th of September and this can either be paid via paypal or on the day as long as you have been registered prior to the 24th. Any registration taking place after this date will cost £25 as brackets etc will have been provisionally made up by this time.
