    Default Grappling Dummy

Thinking of investing in a grappling dummy for use in my garage.

Got a couple of questions that I'm hoping some of you can help with.

    1) Are they any good or should I just stick to using a heavy bag?
    2) Any places you know that sell a decent cheap one?

I've used one at the gym for suplexes and some drills but I have eaves(sp!) in my garage so won't be doing too many of them.

I've searched the web and they tend to be a few quid so just after a few opinions before I commit.

    Thanks

What you want it for exactly?! I find them useful when practicing Armbars, Kimura's, Triangles, Positioning, Drills and so forth... If you dont want it for practicing positioning and submissions then i'd stick with punchbag to chuck around as the one i used (Blitz) arent that heavy.

Looking to use one for a variety of things but mainly subs and positioning.

Appreciate you can't beat rolling but I struggle to get to the gym as much as I would like to, so try to make the most of the odd 30 mins I have free.

    Would you recommend one?

Yeah i find them quite useful and contemplated buying one for myself. I used it today to get the idea of reversing my triangle instead of messing around with the arm. I use it 2x a week at gym just to go over things which i know need improving. One thing which is good is that the dummie never moans or gets tired of you doing shit to it.

get one that's a proper body - i.e: not the punch bag with short arms and a face drawn on one end type...

Cheers for the views. Looks expensive so I better have some thought over shelling out.
