i'm sure if the UFC put a show on in Scotland, they would fast track some local fighters in to sell tickets... oh and of course some yank fighter will do a "Scotish roots" thing like Marcus Davie did for Ireland....

I think Marcus could cover Scotland and Wales too actually.

Think James or Paul will be first to fight in WEC as they are midgets.

John Quinn and James Jarvie have the greatest potential too, IMO

No one has as of yet!

Maybe of the current crop, Jarvie at LW

I honestly think the UFC would need to come to Scotland for us to see any Scottish boys in the UFC anytime soon!

I hear its really difficult to get into the WEC at the moment, did Brad Pickett fail to get matched over there? I aint sure???

And English guys such as Ronnie Mann will probs be striving to reach the WEC shortly too.

yeah I would agree, I think Scotland is probably a good few years behind english MMA so possibly in the short to medium term we wont see anything but who knows in the future, UFC 143 in the SECC or Braehead Arena.

    Be Awesome ehh!

There has been rumors for years regarding the UFC holding a show in scotland, but as dana White says in the past, there is a real problem regarding venues in Scotland, that would hold approx 20,000!

I personally think the likes of the Americans and Brazilians are a few years ahead of us and in general the Brits in terms of Wrestling and Groundwork.

There are some high level mma players in this country, who in my opinion will turn out to be awesome coaches, and probably already are to be honest, as they seem to live the sport.

I would hope guys like James Doolan among others stay in the sport after they finish (long way away) but the experience and wealth of knowledge they have, can hopefully help guys from scotland make the leap in the future
