But apart from that, a milestone. ^_^

    Still, congratulations, all the same!

    Take care,

    P.S. Plus, obviously, Helen.
I think Kath G got her purple from Mario Reis, not sure if it was this year or last year though. Jenn Webb's been a purple since '07, Esther's been at purple for about a year now, and haven't Rosi and Rachel (is Rachel still training?) been purples for ages? Plus can't forget Caoimhe McGill who's been a purple for about 3 years or so and must be pretty close to brown.

It must be the only Royce Gracie one with a bit of artistic license on the part of the journalist. It would be interesting to know how many purples he has given in the UK. As I understand it he doesn't give them (purple belts) very easily.

Both Rachel and Kathy have concentrated more on No Gi in recent years otherwise they would both be higher graded than Purple.
Both are extremely talented Grapplers of the highest level.

To my count he has given 3 purples in Scotland out so far since 2001-ish.

He has also given out two brown belts and at this time given no black belts.

As already mentioned Amora, Esther, Jen, Kerry, Rosi, Anna, Kathy (got her's feb this year although has undoubtedly been purple level for alot longer), Caoimhe, Rachel (I heard a rumour that she was brown now????), Helen Currie (black)

Also Marcia (ECBJJ), Katie Rodd, Emmanuelle (although I think she has stopped training now), Helen Hauser (is she still in the country?), Ash who was at british open, I met another one several years ago but can't remember her name now, + I think there are probably a few more out there who just don't compete.

But congrats anyway, hopefully she will be up for competing with some of the others.
