    how do i copy a dvd on to my laptop or a chapter from a dvd on to my laptop???

    You can download some free trial programs which will do one chapter or more (but the ones which do more normally overlay some text on to it). I can't think of any names but Google for a while and you should be able to find something reliable.

    Otherwise you can buy something like Roxio's Copy & Convert which will do the job. Should be able to find something under £30, probably less if you hunt around.

    just one chapter would be fine like 8 mins long at most..... any body know of any free programs then???

    open the disc directory, go to VIDEO TS and copy the VOB files

    You could watch the VOB files using the same media player you use for DVDs (eg VLC or Windows Media Player with codecs)

    No, you couldn't upload them to Facebook (I don't think - never tried). You would need to convert them first to mpeg or WMV

    Leigh is right, you can't upload VOB format to Facebook.
