Would you break someones arm in a street fight or would you let go the second they started screaming?

Depends on the situation.

Having done everything within my power to get out of the situation, and having been forced into fighting... SNAP IT!!!

If I was lucky enough to get mount position, then I would hope that I could use other options instead of joint breakage...eg a nice Gracie style face slapping.
From guard, I'm assuming this position is a bit risky to remain too long, so, yes, a very keenly applied armbar might be necessary to save me from ground and poundage.
but then what do I know, I would never get in a street fight in first place.

no submission in a street fight - the purpose of an arm bar is to break the arm imo - unnecessary in sport, but the whole purpose of doing it in a fight...

GIVE ME MONEY.
In a street fight if you armbar someone their mates kick you in the face! BJJ is great for self defence IMO more for the sweeps and ground control.

strange post this 1. oh id stick his arm up his ass after it came off.
gotta snap but then what walk off and prob get nicked for a major charge, id try my best to get a choke instead switch to a triangle and leave him on the curb asleep, but if not ye just snap it off then move on to a knee bar and snap that too might aswell ha
