    have you tried kicking a conrete post until the plaster is falling from the ceiling?

    My uncle (who is VERY experienced) helped me out loads by kicking trees repeatedly.

    run a glass bottle up and down your shins repeatedly & continually tap them with a heavy baseball bat!

    Or just Spar loads :-)

    I know how to develope the shins so they can cope but whats the science behind it? Like how does it actually work?

    In a nutshell: Every time you damage the body it repairs itself stronger. Bones particularly and so over time the continued impacts cause increased bone density due to the fracture repair which results in them being stronger and tougher
