Caged Steel MMA Interclub Results & Thanks
Caged Steel MMA Interclub - Results & Thanks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got to say a massive thank you to everyone who made the event possible.
First the 40+ fighters who took part, without them there is no event. There were some very good fighters here today, some showing good technical skills, some plenty of heart, and those with both. The standard generally was really good and shows how fat UK MMA has come over the last year or so.
The officials,
The referees, Ian Butlin, Brad Conway & Mabsy Allam.
The judges for the day Martin "Bolo" Folan, Phil "Big O" Ounsley & Wajid "Wax" Sadiq.
Timekeeper Kath Hall.
Caged Steel people, Jamie & all the Caged Steel team & staff
MMA Pics for the photos & the new "Burger van".
James Saville for the video.
All the coaches, gyms & teams, and of course the well behaved spectators
I am sure I will have missed somebody, apologies if so, not intentional.
The official results are
U70kg Winner = Sam Wilkinson from A.O. MMA
U77kg Winner = James Nardone from Factory BJJ
U84kg Winner = Luke Copcut from Manvers MMA
U93kg Winner = Ross Price from Manvers MMA
O93kg Winner = Mick Render from Caged Steel
Thanks again to EVERYONE TODAY I hope you all enjoyrd it and look forward to seeing you all next time

Huge thanks to Caged Steel for running this comp - it was a great intro into MMA for me!
-
Big thanks to caged steel for letting me get som more experience as a ref. Was an honour to understoody Ian Butlin ;-) was a great day and a brilliant show
-
Hahahaha, it was a great day. Thanks for having us over Neil. The standard as i have said was very good and just shows how UKMMA is improving and grass roots events like this are the reason why.
Well done, looking forward to the next one

Really annoyed that I didn't get to attend... espcially as I was 2 miles away!
Bloody Keeley!
Anway, glad it went well... would be good if you could get these as regular events. The sport needs more Interclub level comps.
